CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A family of five escaped their burning Chesterfield home early Thursday morning. The house is located along the 6900 block of Oakhill Lane in Chesterfield County. The fire was first reported at about 2 a.m.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the fire started in the chimney of the home near Cogbill Road. Two adults and three children lived in the now fire-damaged home. This is a developing story.
