RICHMOND, Va. -- A Winter Weather Advisory is posted for much of Central, Northern and Eastern Virginia through Tuesday morning. Temperatures will fall into the 30s Monday evening as winds shift from the north and colder air moves into Central Virginia. This will allow our rain to mix with and change over to snow this evening, with an expected change in the RVA Metro around 9 p.m. -10 p.m. Snow showers will continue overnight into the Tuesday morning commute. Snow looks like it will end around 9 a.m. in most of central Virginia as the storm system moves farther northeast away from us.

Here is an hour-by-hour-breakdown provided by the CBS 6 Storm Team's in-house Future Weather model overnight into Tueday.
