PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- Prince George County Police were called to the 15000 block of Clipperton Drive for a shooting at approximately 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male in the driveway of the residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The man, identified as Dustin Wilfong, 38, was transported to Southside Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Reports indicated that there was an argument that became physical between Wilfong and his girlfriend.

During the altercation, Wilfong was shot by the girlfriend’s 16-year-old son.

The juvenile was charged with 1st degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The teenager was taken to Crater Juvenile Detention Center.

Neighbors said there were no warning signs before the shooting.

“I said, ‘Oh my gosh, what has happened,’” said Brenda Conway, who lives nearby.

“I’d seen her boyfriend and they'd be out in the yard,” Conway said. “It seemed like they had a good relationship.”
