“The victim was traveling on Williamsburg Road when she got behind a slow moving vehicle,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley said about the September 30 incident. “The victim honked her horn when she was able to pass the vehicle.”

A few moments later the two cars pulled up next to each other at a red light.

“The victim stated that when she stopped at a stoplight, the driver of the vehicle she passed pulled beside her and brandished a firearm,” Lt. Eley said. “The victim stated she then turned into a parking lot and entered a business to call police. At that time the other driver exited his vehicle and began to kick her car.”

When the woman went outside to get the man’s license plate, he drove off – striking her with his car.

After investigating the incident, Henrico Police were able to find the suspect’s vehicle.

Charles Lamonte McQuinn Sr., 35, was charged with brandishing, vandalism, and hit and run.
