Police investigate early-morning robbery in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police released a photo of a man accused of robbing a Henrico business early Thursday morning. The crime, along the 900 block of East Parham Road near Brook Road, was reported at about 4 a.m.

“The suspect approached the clerk, displayed a handgun, and demanded money,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley wrote in an email. “The clerk complied and the suspect fled the business. No injuries were reported.”

Police described the suspect as a black man wearing all black clothing.

“The suspect was also carrying a black backpack with red straps,” police said.
