HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — Sheriff’s investigators are looking for the man who stole a woman’s purse Tuesday night as she walked in the parking lot of the Mechanicsville Walmart. The “grand larceny purse-snatching” happened at 10:25 p.m. on November 18.
“As the victim was walking to her vehicle, a tall black male, thin build, wearing a dark hoodie approached her from behind and took her purse from her hand,” Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Deputy Terry Sullivan wrote in an email. “The suspect fled on foot towards the Waffle House.”
“[The vehicle] appears to be a champagne/light colored Cadillac with a large sunroof and two antennas on the back of the vehicle,” Sullivan said. “The vehicle was occupied by four passengers. The front seat passenger was a white female.”
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at (804) 365-6140 or the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
