DNA leads police to duo accused of stealing guns, tools from Henrico garage

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Two men were charged in connection to the July 20 burglary of a garage on Lincoln Avenue, near Hermitage and Hilliard Roads, in Henrico.

“The victim reported than unknown individuals entered his detached garage and took assorted tools and firearms,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley said. “During the scene processing, officer recovered DNA evidence. Additionally, some of the items stolen were pawned.”

David Jonathan Van Bibber, 35, and Dakota Alphonso Boucher, 23, were charged with crimes including burglary, grand larceny, and grand larceny with intent to sell. Both men live along the 2300 block of Burnley Avenue — about half a mile from the crime scene.
