RICHMOND, Va. — Firefighters extinguished a blaze at an apartment in Richmond not far from Oakwood Cemetery Monday morning.
Crews were called out to the Villas of Oakwood in the 3500 block of Briel Street around 11:15 a.m. after reports of flames shooting from the back of an apartment.
No one was home when the fire broke out.
As of 11:25 a.m., crews tweeted that the fire had been marked under control.
No one was injured, but a man, woman and juvenile were displaced.
The Red Cross is assisting the family.
