Man with machete robs West End business

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A man with a machete robbed a West End convenience store late Saturday night. Henrico Police are still looking for the person who robbed the Mini Mart along the 9500 block of Huron Avenue, near West Broad Street and Springfield Road, at about 11 p.m.

“The suspect, who was armed with a machete, entered the store and demanded money from the victim,” Henrico Police said in an email. “The victim complied with the demands and placed the money into a plastic bag.”

The suspect ran away after he got the money.

“The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-27 years old, 5’10”-6’03” tall, 180-210 lbs. wearing all black clothing, a white handkerchief over his face, and tan boots,” police said.
