HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A 22-year-old man was arrested following a fatal shooting outside a Henrico County shopping center.

Richard Alvin Hendrick, 22, of Mosby Street in Richmond, was charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon in connection to Monday morning’s shooting along the 4500 block of South Laburnum Avenue.

Eric Christopher Sayles, 23, of Chester, was taken to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.

“Further details are not being released at this time,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley said following the arrest announcement.

Sayles was shot outside the Shops at White Oak Villageat about 3 a.m., police said.
