Man shot, killed outside Henrico shopping center

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police are investigating a fatal shooting outside the Shops at White Oak Village. A man was shot in the shopping center’s parking lot at about 3 a.m., police said.

“Officers responded to a shooting in the 4500 block of South Laburnum,” Henrico Police spokesman Lt. Chris Eley said via email Monday morning. “Officers located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds who was transported to VCU Medical Center. The victim later died as a result of his injuries.”

Police have not yet released the victim’s name.

Investigators continue to look for the shooting suspect. No description of the suspect has been released.

“The motive is unknown, and detectives are continuing their investigation,” Lt. Eley said.
