Tankers bring in water to help fight Henrico fire

HENRICO, Va. — Henrico Fire Department is currently working a fire on the 6600 block of Hines Road in Henrico.

Around 10 p.m. Monday  the fire began in the garage and then spread over to the two-story home structure.

At one point the crews had to withdraw due to heavy fire conditions.

Fire was heavy in the attic over the garage, and in the main house.

It is reported that tankers are bringing in water to fight the fire.

After almost two hours the fire was marked under control, but there was significant fire and smoke damage done to the garage and the rest of the residence.

Six engine companies, two specialty service units, four tankers, one fire medic unit, and three command staff units were assigned to the call for service.

The exact cause and area of origin of the fire is under investigation at this time.  No injuries were reported from the fire.  The family will be displaced period of time due to the fire.
