CHESTERFIELD, Va.– Chesterfield County Police have charged a 17-year-old male in relation to an assault that occurred at Manchester High School on Monday, Oct. 13.
At approximately 9:45 a.m. Monday, police were called to Manchester High School for a reported assault with a knife. The investigation indicates that a 17-year-old male student stabbed another 17-year-old male student. The two students were known to each other.
The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police at the scene took the suspect into custody and recovered the knife used in the attack.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding in relation to the incident. He is currently being held at the Chesterfield County Juvenile Detention Home.
