RICHMOND, Va. – A young man and woman, apparently in their 20s, were shot in the 1100 block of St. John Street around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
They were both rushed to VCU Medical Center.
The unidentified man was shot in the torso, and is listed in very critical condition. The woman’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Richmond Police are not releasing any motive or suspect information at this time.
The forensics team on site removed a bicycle from the shooting scene. The shooting appeared to have occurred between two parked vehicles.
Multiple shots were fired, police said.
The male victim was not a resident of Gilpin Court, police sources said.
