Women attacked at West End Starbucks

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – Police arrested a Henrico man accused of assaulting two women at a West End Starbucks. Police were called to the Starbucks near Innsbrook about 5:23 a.m. Monday after the women reported the suspicious man. The women were Starbucks employees opening the coffee shop at the time of the attack.

“The male ran into the business and assaulted two adult female employees,” a Henrico Police spokeswoman confirmed via email. “The male then kicked an officer.”

The women suffered injuries to the face and head.

One of the woman was taken to VCU Medical Center with what police described as non-life threatening injuries.

Worku Asfaw Woldemariam, 30, of East Parham Road, was arrested and charged with Assaulting a Police Officer, Misdemeanor Assault and Malicious Wounding.

Nothing was taken from the store, police said.
