Victim suffers life-threatening injuries in Northside shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting on Richmond's Northside Sunday afternoon.

According to Richmond police,  units received a call of a person shot on the 3100 block of Alvis Ave. around 3:15 p.m.

When they arrived they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they believe the victim was shot by a known suspect.

The RPD said their investigation into the shooting is on-going.
