CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Three months after a Chesterfield man was shot and killed inside his home, police arrested a man in connection to the crime.
A multi-jurisdictional grand jury indicted Bret Chermel-Anthony Gilliam, 24, with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, breaking and entering with intent to commit murder and three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Gilliam is charged with killing 27-year-old Farzad Sultani inside a home on Little Pond Lane in March. During the crime, a man shot into the glass back door of the home to break in and then killed Sultani, according to police.
Gilliam, of Omo Road, was arrested Tuesday. He had a hearing scheduled for Wednesday, June 18.
