HENRICO COUNTY, Va. - Police released a series of photos of the man wanted in a West End carjacking and bank robbery. The crimes happened May 6, 2014. The photos were taken by a security camera inside the Franklin Federal Bank at the Village Shopping Center on Three Chopt Road.
"The suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, brandished a handgun, and demanded money," Henrico Police spokeswoman Lt. Linda Toney wrote in an email. "The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money."
The suspect drove off in a 2002 beige Toyota Camry police said he carjacked from a woman outside a Quioccasin Road Arby's about 30 minutes before the bank robbery.
"Shortly after the robbery, the stolen Toyota Camry was found abandoned, at Stuart Avenue and Ripley Avenue in the Richmond," Toney said.
She described the suspect as a black male in his twenties, 5’8”-5’10”, 120-150 pounds, wearing a gray hooded shirt, and sweat pants.
"An additional suspect was observed driving the stolen vehicle from the robbery. He is described as a black male, 23-26 years old, weighing 240-260 pounds," Toney said.
