RICHMOND, Va. -- Tropical Storm Fay will move northward close to the Eastern Shore today, brushing far Eastern Virginia with showers and a few thunderstorms. Isolated showers and storms will be possible for the Richmond Metro, otherwise another hot and humid day is in store with high temps in the lower 90s.

Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid days, with highs in the low to mid 90s. Scattered storms will be possible Saturday afternoon along a weak cold front/trough that will move through the area.

A ridging pattern is expected to develop next week, resulting in an extended period of high heat and humidity, with very little chance for rain.
