RICHMOND, Va. -- An area of low pressure off the New England coast will move back to the southwest Friday, keeping brisk northwesterly winds in place over the Mid-Atlantic. Highs will reach the mid 60s under mostly sunny skies, but some cloud cover will be possible over the eastern third of Virginia. Cloud cover will increase for all areas on Saturday, holding temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s. We'll see more sunshine on Sunday, with highs back in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. The warm-up will continue next week, with mid to upper 70s likely. We'll have a slim chance of rain next Tuesday and Wednesday. The medium range pattern favors a couple of surges of cold air, which could lead to a frost or freeze for some areas next Saturday, April 11th. Stay With CBS 6, the Weather Authority.
