RICHMOND, Va. -- Wednesday will be another seasonally hot and humid day, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s, with scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the majority of the viewing area due to the threat of slow-moving thunderstorms this afternoon through this evening. The chances for rain will increase Thursday through Saturday as upper-level energy increases over the region. The severe weather threat will remain low, but any storms will have the potential to produce localized flooding given the high ground moisture.

The pattern looks drier early next week, with highs remaining in the 80s.

The disturbance in the central Atlantic has become better organized over the past 24 hours and is Tropical Depression Eleven. The next name on the list is Josephine.
