RICHMOND, Va. -- Cloud cover will increase tonight ahead of an upper-level trough over the northern U.S. that will be shifting eastward through midweek. Rain will be possible Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning. Clouds will decrease during the day Wednesday, with highs in the low 50s. Colder weather is expected Thursday and Friday as a deeper upper-level trough moves into the region. An area of moisture will move into this cold air mass Thursday evening, and while the track will be mostly south of Virginia, a few snow showers or flurries will be possible in central sections of the Commonwealth Thursday night. Dry and cool weather is expected Friday through Sunday, with more rain possible next Monday. Our sunrises are now before 7 a.m. Click here to read more about our increasing daylight.
