RICHMOND, Va. -- A cold front moved through Virginia today, and the air mass overspreading the region will keep us cold and dry through the weekend. We’ll have lows in the 20s and highs in the mid 40s both days, with full sunshine Saturday and increasing clouds Sunday.
A storm system will bring rain to the area Monday, with a wintry mix in the Shenandoah Valley and far northern Virginia. The rain will exit the region Tuesday morning, with dry conditions Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday.
A winter storm still appears possible next Thursday, and while this system is still more than five days out, medium range models continue to be in strong agreement for accumulating snow across a broad area. We’ll keep you updated on the potential impacts to our region on the air and online.
