HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A 50-year-old woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when her pickup truck crashed into a tree, according to the Hanover Sheriff's Office. The woman's name has not yet been released.
"It was discovered that [the driver of a] Chevrolet pickup lost control, exited the highway, and struck a tree," a Hanover Sheriff's Office spokesperson said. "The driver[was the] only occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene."
The crash was reported at about 3:12 p.m. along the 71600 block of Taylor Creek Road.
The crash remains under investigation.
