RICHMOND, Va. -- It's a big weekend for Richmond art lovers. The Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VisArts) is hosting its Collectors’ Night weekend March 6 - 7.
During the Young + Artful event on Friday, March 6, VisArts is throwing a party at the center on 1812 West Main Street for both "young professionals and the young at heart."
"Guests will enjoy live music from The Flavor Project, dancing and the presentation of VisArts first ever Emerging Artist Award to Mahari Chabwera," a VisArts spokesperson shared. "The event also will feature a wheel throwing performance by Dan Kaczka and Kathleen O’Connor."
Tickets are $60 (that includes food and drink) and can be purchased here.
On Saturday night, VisArts will present its Distinguished Service Award to Bill Royall and Pam Kiecker Royall.
“Our board is proud to recognize the considerable contributions that Pam and Bill Royall have made to VisArts and the broader Richmond art community,” David Shuford, vice chair of VisArts’ board of directors, said. “Their support for the arts in Richmond has been transformative and we felt that 2020 was the year to formally recognize them for their service.”
