RICHMOND, Va. -- The Virginia Lottery paid out $8,000,000 to winners after the winning numbers forSunday night’sPick 4 were 6-6-6-6.
"Each $1 play with those winning numbers in the October 4 night drawing is now worth $5,000," a Virginia Lottery spokesperson said. "Players wagered a total of $492,356 and won a total of $8,000,000 in Sunday night’s drawing."
It's just the third time 6-6-6-6 have been the winning Pick 4 numbers since the game started in 1991.
"Quadruple numbers tend to be very popular in the Pick 4 game and are, therefore, some of the most heavily wagered," the spokesperson wrote in an email.
