FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- A Spotsylvania County man was charged with peeping and other crimes after a woman found hidden cameras in her bathroom, according to Fredericksburg Police.
The woman's father called police on January 31, 2021, shortly after his daughter spotted a "strange device" above an AC vent in her guest bathroom. The father later found the same device above the AC vent in her master bathroom, according to investigators.
Detectives determined the devices were cameras pointed toward the shower and toilet.
The victim told police only maintenance and a co-worker had access to her Cobblestone Drive apartment.
Co-worker Jamshaid Chaudhry, 27, was later arrested on charges of peeping into an occupied dwelling, interfering with the property rights of another, and attempt to commit a misdemeanor.
The woman told investigators she trusted Chaudhry with a key to pick up her mail when she went out of town.
