COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. — A man has been found guilty in connection to a woman's death in Colonial Heights in 2024, according to a news release from the Colonial Heights Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.
After four days of trial, a Colonial Heights jury found Raymont Tasco, 59, guilty of second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the killing of Cynthia Chantè Solomon, 36, of Hopewell.
Solomon was found dead along the Appomattox River in Roslyn Landing Park on April 18, 2024, after a witness reported hearing a gunshot and then a splash.
Tasco's sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 7.
