CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va -- Smoke alarms alerted a Chester family in time to safely evacuate during a house fire Wednesday morning.
Firefighters responded to the home in the 14800 block of Blue Rock Dr. just before 6 a.m.
As firefighters arrived, they could see flames along the front and left side of the home.
The family of four and their dog had already safely evacuated.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
