HENRICO COUNTY, Va. β€” A juvenile male was shot twice in Eastern Henrico Friday evening, Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett.

Henrico Police said officers were called to the 1400 block of Shirleydale Avenue for a "firearm violation" around 7:35 p.m.

The boy was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening.

"Henrico Detectives responded to the scene and are investigating the incident," police said.

No details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were released.
