HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A truck driver was charged with reckless driving after he crashed on an icy Interstate 95 Thursday morning.
The crash was reported at 9:46 a.m. near mile marker 88 in Hanover County.
"The preliminary investigation reveals that a 2015 Freightliner tractor-trailer was headed north on I-95 in the center-right lane when it ran off the road to the left and came to rest in the median facing south," a Virginia State Police spokesperson wrote in an email.

Driver Richard Anderson, 27, of Georgia, was charged with reckless driving (too fast for conditions), according to police.
He was wearing a seatbelt and was not hurt, according to police.
