PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- A Prince George County Department of Defense contractor was arrested on Tuesday on child pornography charges.
Travis Chapell, a Disputanta resident, has been on investigators' radar for several years, according to court documents.
Army investigators, Homeland Security agents, the FBI and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force spent hours executing a search warrant in the 8900 of Teakwood Drive in Disputanta
"What we see in the affidavit is enough to get inside of the house and recover the electronic devices,” said CBS-6 legal analyst Todd Stone . “They just want enough probable cause to get those devices and see what's on them but there's a hint in there that there might be something else beyond child porn that they are looking for during the evaluation.”
Federal documents say there were at least 105 images along with 16 videos showing children between the ages of 1 and 12 engaged in sexual acts.
The 53-year-old Chapell has now been charged with distribution of child pornography.
"I can guarantee you that agents will follow all leads,” said Stone. “Anybody he's emailed with and had a conversation with could result in more arrests or producing more witnesses.
Chapell is at Pamunkey Regional Jail with no bond.
