CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- A man threatened a Wawa clerk before stealing cigarettes from the Iron Bridge Road convenience store, according to Chesterfield Police.
No one was hurt in the robbery, which was reported at about 1:16 a.m. on Thursday.
"The suspect approached the cashier and attempted to purchase cartons of cigarettes," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. "After being unable to pay for the items, the suspect threatened the clerk and fled on foot with the items. No weapon was displayed during the incident."
