CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police have identified a driver killed in a two-vehicle crash on Charter Colony Parkway in Chesterfield County Friday evening.
Chesterfield Police were called just after 6 p.m. to the 800 Block of Charter Colony Parkway after officers said a red pickup headed south swerved into the north travel lane and collided with a gray SUV.
The driver of the pick-up truck, identified as 55-year-old Randy S. Balch, of Chesterfield, died of his injuries upon impact, police said.
Officers said the driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening injuries.
