CHESTER, Va. -- A Chesterfield County Police cruiser hit a person near the intersection of Route 10 and Route 1 in Chester Saturday night, according to a police spokesperson.
Police said an officer was driving in the 2400 block of West Hundred Road when their cruiser hit a person crossing the road around 10:56 p.m.
The victim was taken to an area hospital with injuries that were described as not life-threatening, police said.
Police said the incident is under investigation.
