RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police continue their investigation into a September 11 shooting that injured three people on Lamar Drive in South Richmond. Neighbors said the gun battle played out in the middle of the afternoon in the Beaufont neighborhood.

"Officers arrived and found three adult males who had been shot," a Richmond Police spokesperson said in a September 21 email. "They were transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening."

Police were not able to provide detailed descriptions of the suspects but said the men, who appeared to be in their 20s, drove off in an older green car with tinted windows. The car may have been a Toyota Camry.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
