CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Jefferson Davis Highway on December 11.
According to Chesterfield Police, a vehicle was driving south down the 5000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway just after 7 p.m. when it struck a man.
The driver was not injured and immediately stopped, but the victim, Richard L. Mawyer, 55, died as a result of his injuries.
Police are still investigating the crash.
