One killed, one in custody following shooting at Richmond 7-Eleven

RICHMOND, Va. -- A man was killed and another is in custody following a shooting at a Richmond 7-Eleven on Thursday evening.

Around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 5200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for several reports of a person shot at the 7-Eleven store at the intersection of Chamberlayne Avenue and Azalea Avenue.

Once on scene, they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A suspect is in custody.
