CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Chesterfield Police arrested a man after two teenagers were stabbed Tuesday evening on a practice football field at Carver Middle School.

At about 6:20 p.m., officers responded to a report that two males had been stabbed during an altercation in a parking lot in the 3800 block of Cougar Trail.

Once on scene, officers located two victims, one age 17 and one age 18, suffering from stab wounds.

The teens are students at Life Christian Academy and were playing football at Carver Middle School during the incident, Crime Insider sources told Jon Burkett.

Those sources told Burkett an argument on the field led to the stabbing.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Chesterfield Police were able to determine that it was not a random attack.

Turon M. Savoy Sr., 46, was arrested.

Savoy has been charged with two counts of malicious wounding and his relationship with the high school victims is part of an ongoing police investigation.
