PETERSBURG, Va. -- Police arrested a Petersburg man for murder.
Officers were called to the Salem and Sons gas station on Boydton Plank Road for a shooting at about 12:35 p.m. Sunday.
Once on scene, officers found 30-year-old Martaz Thompson dead inside a vehicle.
Later that evening, police arrested 25-year-old Isaiah Rashad Friend and charged him with Thompson's murder.
Police have not yet said what led to the shooting, nor why Friend was considered a suspect.
