At least 38 firefighters responded.

Residents said they saw and felt lightning strike the roof, before seeing flames and smoke coming out of the attic. Four residential units share the same roof.

Crews were able to get the fire under control in 25 minutes.

The Red Cross is assisting the displaced families with housing and personal needs.

This is a developing story.
