Police ID man killed in Chesterfield shooting

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police have released the name of the man shot and killed early Saturday morning in Chesterfield County.

Officers were called to the 3000 block of Lancers Boulevard at about 4:11 a.m.

"Upon arrival, police discovered an adult male that had been shot. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson wrote in an email about the shooting.

Officers later identified the victim as 31-year-old Ever Edgardo Flores Moya of the 10100 block of Natural Bridge Road.

No suspect information nor additional details were available at last check.

Police said their investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
