Man wanted for Richmond Food Lion parking lot shooting

RICHMOND, Va. -- Detectives are asking for the public’s help to find a man wanted for a shooting in the parking lot of a Southside grocery store last month.

Officers are looking for Jermanny Hernandez, Richmond Police said in a news release Friday, after being called to a shooting in the Food Lion grocery store parking lot in the 6400 block of Jahnke Road just before noon on Monday, Sept. 21.

"An adult male with a gunshot wound was located and transported to a local hospital with an injury that was considered life-threatening," a police spokesperson said.

While on the scene, CBS 6 reporter Shelby Brown reports seeing bullet casings on the ground and a car that appeared to be involved in the shooting get towed away.

Police have not released any information about a motive.
