HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Residents woke up to the sound of gunfire early Tuesday morning in a Highland Springs neighborhood where several homes and vehicles were shot up.

Henrico police said it happened in the 00 block of N. Rose Avenue around 1:40 a.m.

"Right here," said Kiajuana Hill as she pointed to a bullet hole that pierced the front door. "My whole finger can go through that."

Hill said the bullet went through a protective glass door, into the front door, went through a wall, and finally stopped after entering a second wall inside the home.

"It's literally glass everywhere," Hill said.

The sound of gunfire, and images of a vehicle speeding by, were caught on neighbors' surveillance cameras.

Hill said she and her children had just gone to bed, when gunfire exploded.

"They are that way, I’m right there," said Hill as she pointed to windows on opposite sides of the home. "So the hallway -- I was just there for 15 seconds -- like I’m going to get my kids. So i just started running through the house."

For two other neighbors on either side of the home Hill was staying in, it was a similar story.

One showed CBS 6 the bullet that flew just feet from the bed where she slept.

Tuesday morning, CBS 6 crews also saw several little faces peering out the windows of homes that had been shot up.

"It’s usually a lot of children here, a lot of children," Hill said.

Henrico Police said no one was hurt.

They said another shooting incident happened at the same time Tuesday morning, about a mile away on W. Jerald Street.

Shots fired into a home was reported there as well.

Police are still working to determine if these two cases are related.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
