Gunman fires shots at 3 women in Chesterfield car

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police arrested a man who fired gunshots at three women in a vehicle Friday night in Chesterfield, according to Chesterfield Police.

"At about 10:49 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020, police responded to a report that three adult females were shot at inside their vehicle following a domestic-related incident," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said about the shooting along the 1500 block of River Tree Drive. "No injuries occurred during this incident and the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival."

About two hours later, police arrested Thomas A. Bridges III, 31, of Richmond.

He was charged with attempted malicious wounding, felon in possession of a firearm, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, robbery, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Keyavonte Crawford, 28, of Richmond, was also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.

River Tree Drive is in an apartment complex off Route 10 near Interstate 295.
