HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – A 27-year-old man has been charged with reckless driving in connection to a crash that killed a 65-year-old woman on Monday.
Police say the two-vehicle crash occurred near the intersection of Glenside Drive and Cloverdale Street around 9:30 a.m. An investigation reveals a white ford and a blue Toyota sedan collided in the intersection and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 65-year-old Valerie Gilbert, of Henrico.
Jose Isac Cruz Machado, 27, was charged with reckless driving causing the death of another, driving without a license - 3rd offense, and driving without a seat belt.
The crash closed North and Southbound Glenside Dr. at Cloverdale St. throughout Monday morning,
The crash remains under investigation.
