HANOVER COUNTY, Va. -- A driver was injured Friday afternoon after he overturned a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 in Hanover County.
Virginia State Police responded to the crash on the ramp to Route 54 West (Exit 92B) at approximately 3:49 p.m.
"The preliminary investigation reveals that a 2017 International tractor trailer was headed north, took the exit ramp, then ran off the road to the left, struck the guardrail and overturned," said a state police spokesperson.
The driver. 28-year-old James Richardson, of Richmond, suffered minor injuries. Richardson, who was the sole occupant of the tractor trailer, was wearing his seatbelt, according to police.
Richardson has been charged with reckless driving; failure to maintain control.
