COVID-19 community testing events offered in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. – Two COVID-19 community testing events have are scheduled for next week in the City of Richmond.

The first event will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at Diversity Richmond.

  • Time: 9-11:00 a.m.
  • Address: 1407 Sherwood Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220

The second event will be held on Thursday, July 9 at the Powhatan Community Center, also know as "The Hut."

  • Time: 9-11:00 a.m.
  • Address: 5051 Northampton Street, Richmond, VA 23231

Both events will be held rain or shine.

The free testing is being offered for people who may not have insurance, or whose insurance does not cover COVID-19, who have COVID-19 symptoms, who are pregnant, are age 65 and older, or have underlying medical conditions.

Testing will be conducted by appointment to facilitate safety and social distancing.

To register for testing, call the Richmond and Henrico COVID-19 hotline at 804-205-3501, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday (except holidays).

Walk up testing is available to persons who meet testing criteria, but is not guaranteed due to limited availability.
