2 injured in shooting outside Virginia Waffle House

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a man wanted in a shooting that wounded two people outside a Waffle House in Colonial Heights early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the Waffle House to 2002 Boulevard for reports of shots fired at 2:30 a.m.

"Upon arrival officers located evidence of multiple rounds exchanged in the parking lot and adjacent roadways," Major William H. Anspach with Colonial Heights Police said.

Officials said one possible victim was a 19-year-old man from Alexandria they found at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released, police said.

A second victim, a 25-year-old man from Richmond, who was located at Richmond Community Hospital, also had non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police released a surveillance photo of a person of interest and asked for the public's help in identifying him.
