Chesterfield Police search for man after woman was stabbed multiple times

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police are investigating after a woman was stabbed multiple times Friday morning in Chesterfield.

Officers were dispatched to the 8900 block of Hawkbill Road for the report of a stabbing around 1:32 p.m. on October 16th.

"On scene, officers located a female victim suffering from several stab wounds," officials said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Chesterfield Police have obtained warrants for 20 year old Michael Steven Garcia of Chesterfield County in connection to the stabbing. "Garcia is described as a Hispanic male 6', 150lbs," officials said. "Garcia fled the scene driving a gray 2012 Nissan Rogue displaying Virginia tags URR-8502."

The warrants obtained are for Malicious Wounding and Unauthorized Use, according to police. "If seen please do not approach Garcia, call the police, officials added.
